Manjedal Activities Centre- Paid Activities

PAID ACTIVITIES

THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES ARE PROVIDED WITH MANJEDAL FACILITATING (included in activities’ costs), HELMETS AND SAFETY EQUIPMENT, WITH SESSION TIMES BEING 9AM TO 12PM AND / OR 1PM TO 4PM, WHERE BOOKING IN ADVANCE IS ESSENTIAL:

RAFT BUILDING: Plastic drums and treated pine poles are available for raft building at Lake Jones. Binding, life jackets and paddles/oars are supplied. Please dismantle rafts after use and return equipment to correct storage areas.

CANOEING: There are 6 plastic, two seater Pioneer canoes, 2 paddles/oars and 2 life jackets per canoe, available for hire on Lake Jones.

ARCHERY (Standard):  There are 6 archery sets available for use on the archery range only! Each set comprises 1 bow, 3 arrows and 1 arm guard. Standard targets are used.

ARCHERY (Spider Web):   Rather than aiming for one bull’s-eye, we offer a variety of targets on the one, being one huge spider and many smaller sized on a giant web, allowing users to have a greater chance of hitting a target and accomplishing success.

CRATE CLIMB:  Take the challenge with this crate stacking activity, and see how many crates you can stack on top of each other, while climbing the tower you are building. Two towers may be built at the same time, allowing encouragement to bounce between builders. Professional and safe harnessing enables builders/climbers to ascend to a height that best suits, while getting a bird's eye view of all below.

AERIAL RUNWAY:  Speed along 240 metres of flying fox from one side of the valley to the other, up to 20 metres above ground, allowing users to glide above the trees.

ABSEILING:  An abseiling tower, centred amongst Manjedal's tree tops, allows users to abseil down 15 metres, sheer face and overhang.

CLIMBING WALL:   A 14 metre vertical climbing wall that enables the users to experience the exhilaration of rock climbing, in a structured and safe environment.

TUNNEL SYSTEM (Standard):  A system of underground pipe work forming a maze of tunnels to enable you to experience    the thrill of caving in an environmentally friendly situation!

TUNNEL SYSTEM (Gold Strike):  Gold has been discovered at Manjedal! This allows users to search for gold (spray painted rocks) hidden in the depths of the tunnel system. The gold is brilliant for those who are unsure of darker, closed in places, giving them the opportunity to focus on collecting, rather than being fearful. As a challenging exercise, most are eager to be the richest of players, or find the largest nugget, which can only be found in an unsuspected section.

TUNNEL SYSTEM (Diamond Mine):  Like Gold Strike, an explosion has caused diamonds (smooth, clear glass wish stones) to protrude from crevices throughout the tunnel system. On a quest underground to claim the most diamonds, they will only find the rarest of gem stones in the trickiest of places. Can they clean out the diamond mine before it all caves in? Once again, it is a great fear overrider and challenge, allowing users to achieve what they thought they couldn't.

Please note: All persons using the tunnels must:  wear long sleeves (avoid heavy jumpers due to possible sweating), long trousers and closed in shoes for skin protection and bring a torch.

FACILITATORS:  MANJEDAL FACILITATORS, UNDER THE SCOUT ASSOCIATION OF AUSTRALIA - WESTERN AUSTRALIA, ARE QUALIFIED PERSONNEL FOR THEIR ACTIVITY FIELD, ARE POLICE CLEARED AND INSURED, AND HAVE CURRENT THEIR SENIOR FIRST AID AND WORKING WITH CHILDREN CARD. ADDITIONAL FACILITATORS MUST BE BOOKED IN ADVANCE.
9am - 12noon, or 1pm - 4pm sessions

TEAM LEADERS:   MANJEDAL MAY FACILITATE IN THE FORM OF SUPPLYING TRAINED AND QUALIFIED TEAM LEADERS FOR SMALLER GROUPS WITHIN THE GROUP.

SESSION TIMES ARE THREE HOURS DURATION UNLESS OTHERWISE AGREED TO BY MANAGEMENT.
USE OF LAKE JONES IS FREE, BUT ACTIVITIES ARE STILL REQUIRED TO BE BOOKED / DISCUSSED.
