FREE ACTIVITIES

THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES ARE GENERALLY SELF FACILITATED AND FREE, UNLESS HIRING MANJEDAL’S FACILITATOR (fees apply, see below), WHERE SUPERVISION AND RESPONSIBILITY ARE ESSENTIAL, ARE AVAILABLE TO ALL GROUPS AT ANY TIME AND DOES NOT GENERATE A BOOKING WHEN SELF FACILITATING.

FRISBEE GOLF:  A nine hole range including frisbee throwing in a golf style manner. Bring your own frisbees.

BLIND TRAIL:  Approximately 350 metres of rope winding through the bush, over and under logs, across a creek bed and through obstacles. Blindfolds are available: simply blindfold the participants and let them follow the trail.

NATURE TRAIL:  Take a relaxing tour through the heart of Manjedal while expanding your knowledge of our flora, fauna and history. Information sheets/guides detailing each point on the nature trail are available at $2.20 per guide. Feel free to photocopy.

NIGHT TRAIL:  Using your torches, follow the reflective direction markers along the way of a 1.5km trail. Listen for and watch the animals of the night as they scamper around on a quest for food.

WALK TRAILS:  There are three marked walk trails around Manjedal, all starting and finishing at the Information Post at the corner of Manjedal Drive and Governor's Drive. Distances vary with the Boundary Rider (5.5km), Round-A-Bout (3.5km) and Short Circuit (2km).

COMMANDO / CONFIDENCE COURSE:  An obstacle course of not inconsiderable length that winds through the bush and up the creek! Maps are available for hire at $2.20 per map. Feel free to photocopy. Ensure that all participants wear covered footwear and keep their heads above water! (Wet months only) Old clothes are recommended, and please have mud removed before showering!

COMPASS COURSE:  A series of indicator boards giving a compass bearing and a distance. Follow the given bearing for the given distance and find the next board. Designed to take 1 - 2 hours. Feel free to photocopy. Compasses are available for hire at $2.20 per compass.  Damaged or lost compasses charged at $44 per compass.

LOW ROPES COURSE: A type of obstacle course that involves balance and teamwork, through and over a series of ropes and structures, forming a ‘course around Australia’.

ORIENTEERING/ROGAINING: This activity incorporates map reading and compass skills. Take the challenge individually, or choose to use this as a team building experience. There are 40 markers around the property, some easy to find, others not so easy. Maps are available at $2.20 per map. Feel free to photocopy. Compasses are available for hire at $2.20 per compass. Damaged or lost compasses charged at $44 per compass.

FRISBEE GOLF: This activity involves a golf course at Manjedal where individuals set to challenge each other by throwing frisbees instead of hitting a golf ball with a club. Frisbees are available for hire, please ask Manjedal staff for details.

OTHER ACTIVITIES: Swimming, native land and water flora and fauna discoveries, bush walking, bicycle riding, lantern stalks, glow hunts, treasure hunts, ice breakers, cooking demonstrations etc.
